Hush Bassets are a medium sized dog that have a sweet, friendly and easy going disposition and are exceptionally loyal dogs. They are smaller than the average basset, are well mannered and make excellent family pets. These gentle, loving dogs make good companions for any age person and also get along well with other pets and animals. Our goal is to breed the perfect Miniature Basset Hound!

APPEARANCE: Hush Bassets retain the domed head, long ears, sometimes curly like the Cocker Spaniel, but with less droopy eyes and do not drool like the Basset Hound. Coats can be short and slick or long and thick with some shedding. Some litters produce the rare "fluffy" coats and come in many different colors including: blue merles, spots, solid black, tri-colored, lemon or black and tan. Some litters may also produce the "minute hound" which is a perfectly proportioned miniature basset hound with longer legs.

"Yankee" Basset Hound

Yankee is our foundation Hush Basset female. We breed her with Gripper our Cocker Spaniel or Blue for 3/4 Basset Hound "Hush Bassets" that produce very nice miniature Basset Hound puppies and Minute Hound puppies (long legged). She is very sweet and has a great dispostion.

Blue is a very sweet, gentle and mild mannered boy! He loves running through the fields and has great tracking instincts. Our best breeder here! He weighs around 25 pounds.

Cati is very mild mannered and sweet. She loves her stuffed animals and will get inot mischief if you let her. Great mother, very attentive. Has short legs with a longer body and nice basset head. Loves to bark for food or attention!

Rowdy is the opposite of his name! Calm, mellow boy with beautiful markings. Loves the girls and a great breeder.
